The print is the perfect conclusion to the image making process. For a photographer, there is huge satisfaction in personally crafting their own beautiful print on Fine Art paper, rather than letting it languish on a hard drive or giving it to someone else to print for them.

There is a cost involved in printing and some photographers are deterred as they feel printing is a complex process which is difficult to learn. This does not have to be the case and for this reason we have set- up the Fotospeed Academy.
The Fotospeed Academy has been established to open up the world of image making to you. Through our Academy days, we aim to show you how to make Fine Art; exhibition quality photographs and prints from your images.
We want to strip away the mystery and ‘dark arts’ around photography and printing, and leave you equipped to go away and start making beautiful photographs and prints at home.
This one day Advanced Printing for Photographers course is ideal for those who have been printing for a while or have attended our ‘Introduction into Printing’ course. We will build on the skills you have and take you through the best practices and next steps in your printing journey. This will include hard proofing techniques designed to save you both paper and money. This course will teach you to understand, interpolation, how to resize your images for print, how to get the most out of sharpening and how we can use local and global sharpening to create depth in our images. You will also learn about using colour balance tools locally to enhance your images. There will be time to try out all these new techniques and print your pictures on our large format Canon and Epson printers to take home with you. (Not applicable to online courses)
