Favourite paper and why:
Always one to break the rules, I have two favourite papers:
Firstly PF Lustre. It is cheap, versatile and resilient to handling, and important point when entering print competitions where handling of the prints may otherwise result in damage to the surface and result in a less than pristine print being presented to the judge. It’s also my ‘go to’ where I want a bright white base rather than the more natural warm base some other papers exhibit.
For myself or where I know prints will be handled with care, I’d pick Platinum Baryta 300 – its deep blacks and saturation particularly suit my style of photos particularly mono images and those with a reduced colour pallet.
