Two light banks each contain 12 UV-A SMD LEDs, producing ultraviolet radiation at a wavelength of 365 nm for UV and fluorescence photography.
Independent dimming
Each UV-A light can be dimmed separately, allowing the illumination from either side of the subject to be adjusted independently.
Flicker-free operation
Constant-current LED drivers provide flicker-free illumination for controlled photographic image capture.
Flexible positioning

Each light is separately dimmable, allowing the balance of UV illumination to be adjusted according to the subject and the photographic setup. Constant-current drivers provide flicker-free operation, while the specified 100-degree radiation angle helps distribute illumination across the working area.
The lighting heads can be tilted, swivelled and adjusted vertically. Height-marked support arms feature detent positions for repeatable angular adjustment, while strong cast clamp bases allow mounting to suitable copy stand boards and working surfaces up to 48 mm thick.

The K5596 RB 5970 UV is compatible with all Kaiser R1 System copy stands, the K5411 RS 2 XA, K5602 RSD and K5603 RSDmot. The optional K5549 Extraneous Light Protector is listed by Kaiser as a compatible accessory for controlling unwanted ambient light during specialist photographic work.
UV safety: This unit emits ultraviolet radiation. Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions and use appropriate UV protection for eyes and skin. Do not look directly into the illuminated LEDs. Check the unit's type plate for the correct mains voltage before connection.
