Professional Compact Daylight LED Light Boxes
Kaiser K2453 slimlite plano LED Light Box
Accurate daylight illumination wherever your photography takes you. The compact Kaiser slimlite plano combines a 22 x 16 cm illuminated viewing surface, 23 high-quality daylight LEDs, CRI 95 colour rendering and continuously adjustable brightness in an exceptionally slim, rechargeable light panel. Ideal for slide inspection, film viewing and portable photographic digitisation.
Compact viewing surface
A 22 x 16 cm illuminated area provides practical working space for viewing slides, film and smaller transparent originals.
Colour-accurate daylight
23 LEDs provide approximately 5000 K illumination with CRI 95 for accurate colour assessment and photographic reproduction.
Extended battery runtime
A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 5 hours of cordless operation at full brightness.
Ultra-slim portability
Just 8 mm thick and weighing 570 g, with touch-sensitive dimming and brightness memory for convenient use.
Compact illumination for photographic originals
Professional daylight viewing in an exceptionally portable format
The Kaiser K2453 slimlite plano LED Light Box is designed for photographers, archivists and enthusiasts who require a dependable source of uniform transmitted illumination without the size and weight of a larger light panel. Its 22 x 16 cm illuminated acrylic-glass surface is suitable for inspecting mounted slides, viewing film strips and photographing smaller transparent originals for digital archiving. The panel incorporates 23 daylight LEDs with a colour temperature of approximately 5000 Kelvin and a high colour rendering index of CRI 95. These characteristics provide a consistent, colour-accurate viewing environment for assessing photographic transparencies and reproducing them using a suitable digital camera and copy stand arrangement. With an approximate luminous density of 750 cd/m², the K2453 offers bright illumination in a compact working area.
The slimlite plano is designed for straightforward operation through its touch-sensitive control. A short touch activates the LED illumination, while a longer touch adjusts the brightness continuously, allowing the output to be matched to the transparency, ambient conditions or camera exposure. The memory function retains the selected brightness setting, making it easier to return to a preferred illumination level during repeated viewing or digitisation sessions. Centimetre and inch scales positioned beside the illuminated area provide a useful measurement reference when arranging photographic originals. These practical features make the K2453 well suited to systematic slide sorting, film inspection and repeatable photographic reproduction workflows.
Portability is one of the main advantages of the K2453. With overall dimensions of 29 x 20 cm and a thickness of just 8 mm, the light box occupies very little desk space and can be incorporated into compact photographic workstations. Its low weight of approximately 570 g also makes it convenient to transport between locations. The integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 5 hours of operation at full brightness, with longer use possible when the illumination is dimmed. Alternatively, the light box can be powered through a compatible USB supply, including a suitable charger, power bank, computer or vehicle USB connection. The included USB-C cable and USB-C to USB-A adapter provide flexible connection options, making the K2453 a practical choice for both permanent and portable transparency digitisation setups.
