Kaiser "slimlite plano" LED Light Box, illuminated area 12.2 x 16.9" - Fotospeed
Kaiser "slimlite plano" LED Light Box, illuminated area 12.2 x 16.9"
The Kaiser K2455 slimlite plano LED Light Box is a large-format, super-slim daylight illumination panel designed for viewing, sorting and photographic digitisation of slides, film and other transparent originals. Featuring a generous 42.9 x 30.9 cm illuminated acrylic-glass surface, 90 daylight LEDs and an excellent colour rendering index of CRI 95, it delivers uniform, colour-accurate illumination at approximately 5000 Kelvin. The touch-sensitive control offers continuously adjustable brightness with a convenient memory function, while the built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 1.5 hours of operation at full brightness. Despite its substantial viewing area, the K2455 measures just 8 mm thick, making it a practical choice for photographic studios, archives and desktop digitisation workstations. Supplied with a USB-C cable and USB-C to USB-A adapter, it combines a spacious working area with flexible power options for professional transparency inspection and image capture.
Professional Large-Format Daylight LED Light Boxes
Kaiser K2455 slimlite plano LED Light Box
More illuminated space for demanding transparency work. The largest Kaiser slimlite plano combines a 42.9 x 30.9 cm viewing surface, 90 high-quality daylight LEDs, CRI 95 colour rendering and continuously adjustable brightness in an exceptionally slim, rechargeable light panel.
Extra-large viewing area
A 42.9 x 30.9 cm illuminated surface provides generous space for inspecting multiple slides and larger transparent originals.
Accurate daylight colour
90 LEDs deliver approximately 5000 K illumination with CRI 95 for faithful colour reproduction and transparency assessment.
Rechargeable and portable
A built-in lithium-ion battery enables cordless use for approximately 1.5 hours at maximum brightness.
Touch-controlled dimming
Stepless brightness adjustment and a memory function make it easy to achieve consistent illumination between sessions.
Large-format illumination for photographic originals
A spacious, colour-accurate viewing surface for professional digitisation
The Kaiser K2455 slimlite plano LED Light Box is designed for photographers, archivists and imaging professionals who require a large, evenly illuminated surface for working with transparent photographic originals. Its 42.9 x 30.9 cm illuminated area is the largest in the slimlite plano range, providing useful space for arranging multiple mounted slides, viewing strips of film or inspecting larger transparency formats. The panel uses 90 LEDs to provide uniform transmitted illumination, with a colour temperature of approximately 5000 Kelvin and a high colour rendering index of CRI 95. These characteristics make it particularly suitable for evaluating colour and detail in photographic transparencies and for creating camera-based digital reproductions.
The K2455 incorporates a touch-sensitive control that makes adjusting the illumination straightforward. A short touch activates the light source, while a longer touch changes the brightness continuously. The memory function saves the selected brightness level, making it convenient to return to a preferred setting when working through a collection of photographic originals. With an approximate luminous density of 650 cd/m², the light box provides bright, even illumination that can be reduced when required to suit the transparency or camera exposure. Centimetre and inch scales alongside the acrylic-glass illuminated area provide a useful reference when arranging originals or checking their dimensions.
Despite its generous illuminated surface, the slimlite plano K2455 has an overall thickness of only 8 mm. This makes it easy to incorporate into a desktop photographic workflow or position beneath a suitable camera copy stand for transparency digitisation. A built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows cordless operation for approximately 1.5 hours at full brightness, with longer use possible at reduced illumination levels. Alternatively, the panel can be powered through a compatible USB supply, such as a suitable charger, power bank or computer connection. The supplied USB-C cable and USB-C to USB-A adapter provide flexible connection options. Combining a large working area with accurate daylight illumination and simple brightness control, the K2455 is a valuable addition to photographic archives, slide collections and professional image reproduction setups.
